The next meeting of the "Technology and Innovations" working group on the activities of the first half of the year was held

On July 19, the next meeting of the "Technology and Innovations" working group of the Commission on Business Environment and International Ratings was held. The meeting was attended by the head of the Secretariat of the Commission, the head and members of the working group, private sector representatives and media representatives.

The head of the Secretariat of the Commission, Vusal Shikhaliyev, made an opening speech and noted that the work of the working group plays an important role in improving the results of the country in the Global Innovation Index. In this regard, he emphasized the importance of continuity of cooperation and communication both within the working group and with other groups and subgroups.

Samir Mammadov, head of the working group, the deputy minister of digital development and transport, mentioned that communication about the status of the tasks (actions) with deadlines due in the first half of this year was carried out continuously within the working group. Samir Mammadov also noted that necessary measures taken by each institution for the full and timely implementation of measures is highly appreciated.  

Samir Mammadov emphasized that the participation of state institutions and representatives of the private sector in the meeting of the working group contributes to setting the goals for the next half of the year.

Furthermore, in accordance with the agenda of the meeting, the reports of the working group for the first half of the year 2024 and the goals set for the next half of the year were discussed by the representatives of the state institutions.

Moreover, private sector representatives voiced out their questions and proposals.

The event was held with the participation of such guests as the head of the "Caspian Energy Club" and IT members. During the event, opportunities for development and cooperation in the field of technology and innovation were discussed in the format of state-business dialogue.

Relevant proposals and decisions were made by the working group based on the opinions expressed at the meeting.

"Technology and Innovations" working group of the Commission on Business Environment and International Ratings is headed by the Ministry of Digital Development and Transport.
