Regarding the meeting of the Working Group entitled “Dispute Resolution, Judicial System and Rule of Law”

The meeting of the "Dispute resolution, judicial system and rule of law" working group of the World Bank's "Favorable Business Environment" project of the Commission on Business Environment and International Rankings was held on 24.07.2023 at 15:00 p.m. in video-conference format.

     Representatives of the Ministry of Justice, the Ministry of Economy, the State Agency for Public Service and Social Innovations under the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan, the Central Bank, the Supreme Court, the Court of Appeal,  the Bar Association and other members of the working group took part in the meeting organized on the online platform.

    This meeting discussed the work done on subsections 1.1.1 (conducting monitoring and, depending on the result, preparing appropriate proposals and submitting them to the Commission in order to determine the necessity of applying time frames for various stages of litigation in commercial disputes) and 3.1.1.3 (conducting monitoring of the decisions made in 2022 in commercial disputes and assessing the situation in the field of whether these decisions are sufficiently justified or not and submitting a report to the Commission on the outcomes) of the Road Map and the issues of eliminating identified shortcomings.

     The event continued under the conditions of mutual discussions and the questions of the participants were answered.
