The next meeting of the "Human Capital" working group was held

On May 31, the Ministry of Science and Education held a thematic meeting on the indicator "Investment in research and development of the country's top 3 global companies" of the "Human Capital" working group of the Commission on Business Environment and International Ratings.

The event was attended by representatives of the relevant state institutions represented in the working group. At the meeting, the appropriate indicator of GDP and its calculation methodology, the position of our country, and the steps to be taken in the next report regarding this position were discussed.

The head of the working group, Deputy Minister of Science and Education, Idris Isayev, delivered his opening speech and explained the reason why the country's indicator for the indicator "Investment in research and development of the first 3 global companies of the country" in the Global Innovation Index did not change, that there is a need to encourage investments directed to research and development by companies belonging to Azerbaijan, and said that it is necessary to keep records of expenses directed to this purpose.

The meeting continued with the information presented by the head of the Social Statistics Department of the State Statistics Committee, E. Haci, and the Deputy Head of the Department of the Ministry of Economy, N. Mammadli, about the investigations conducted on the indicator.

In the end, current and other upcoming issues were discussed with the meeting participants regarding the working group's activities and appropriate decisions were made.
