Working Group on Effective Management and Macroeconomic Indicators of the Commission on Business Environment and International Rankings holds next meeting.

On September 10, 2024, at 11:00 AM, a meeting of the Business Environment and International Rankings Commission's Effective Management and Macroeconomic Indicators Working Group was held via the Webex platform.

Representatives from the Central Bank of the Republic of Azerbaijan, the Ministry of Finance, the Ministry of Economy, the State Oil Fund, the State Statistical Committee, the Ministry of Ecology and Natural Resources, and the Ministry of Energy participated in the meeting. During the session, the group reviewed the progress made during the first half of 2024 in relation to the activity plan and engaged in discussions about upcoming issues.

Key discussion topics included ensuring budget transparency, enhancing debt sustainability, government regulation burden, debt dynamics, monetary freedom, the Global Innovation Index, and effective management of natural resources.

As a result of the meeting, decisions were made to implement measures to improve the country’s international rankings, optimize the government regulation burden, and enhance the effective management of natural resources over the next six months. The effectiveness of the measures taken was evaluated, and the steps to be taken in the upcoming period were determined. The working group members engaged in active discussions to ensure the country’s sustainable economic development and reached agreements on future plans.
