The next meeting of the "Dispute settlement, judicial system and rule of law" working group was held

The meeting of the Working Group entitled “Dispute resolution, judicial system and rule of law” of the World Bank's “Favorable Business Environment” project of the Commission on Business Environment and International Rankings was held on 30.10.2023 at 15:00 p.m. via video-conference.

Representatives of the Ministry of Justice, Ministry of Economy, State Agency for Public Service and Social Innovations under the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan, Central Bank, Supreme Court, Court of Appeal, Bar Association, Mediation Council as well as other members of the working group took part in this meeting organized through online platform.

It should be noted that revised information on the work done in connection with the implementation of subsections 1.1.1 (conducting monitoring and, depending on the result, preparing appropriate proposals and submitting them to the Commission in order to determine the necessity of applying time frames for various stages of litigation in commercial disputes) and 3.1.1.3 (conducting monitoring of the decisions made in 2022 on commercial disputes and assessing the situation in the field of whether these decisions are sufficiently justified or not and submitting a report to the Commission on the outcomes) of the Road Map, as well as digitalization of the mediation system and proposals regarding the provision of online mediation services were discussed at this meeting.

The event continued amid mutual discussions and the questions of the participants had been answered.
