Subgroup meeting on promoting eco-friendly and safe vehicles and improving infrastructure held

The Center for Analysis of Economic Reforms and Communications hosted a meeting of the subgroup on promoting the use of eco-friendly and safe vehicles and improving its infrastructure of the Physical Infrastructure Working Group of the Commission on Business Environment and International Rankings and a meeting with the expert mission of the International Finance Corporation’s e-Mobility project.

The meeting was attended by the head of the secretariat of the Commission on Business Environment and International Rankings, Deputy Minister of Digital Development and Transport Javid Gurbanov, Chairman of the Board of Azerbaijan Land Transport Agency Anar Rzayev and representatives of other government agencies.

The meeting discussed issues related to the stimulation and promotion of the use of eco-friendly vehicles. Thus, the final report on the implementation of the Roadmap for 2022 was presented and proposals were heard on determining the priority goals of the subgroup’s activities, creating  thematic groups, as well as  preparing the draft Roadmap for 2024.

During the meeting, information was also presented on the work done to promote the use of eco-friendly and safe vehicles and improve infrastructure, the role of the private sector in this area and the projects being implemented. At the same time, views were exchanged  on the upcoming priorities and recommendations for the International Finance Corporation’s e-Mobility project, opportunities for cooperation and preparations for the implementation of the project.
