On May 20th of this year, a meeting of the “Improving the efficiency of national services in border trade” subgroup of the “International Trade” Working Group of the Business Environment and International Ratings Commission was held at the administrative building of the State Customs Committee.
At the meeting, which was attended by officials from relevant government agencies and representatives from the private sector, Mr. Vusar Shikhaliyev, the Head of the Secretariat of the Business Environment and International Ratings Commission, provided general information about the activities of the subgroup “Improving the efficiency of national services in border trade” and the main goals in this direction.
Mr. Javad Gasimov, the deputy chairman of the State Customs Committee, the head of the subgroup, emphasized that the activity of the subgroup is of particular importance in the steps to be taken regarding the development of the state-business dialogue, which is the main structural element of the country's social and economic development, and the creation of favorable conditions for foreign trade participants, the implementation of the assigned tasks taking into account the national and economic interests of our state.
During the meeting, the presentation of the Road Map for 2024 of the "Increasing the efficiency of state services on border trade" subgroup and the new projects of the State Customs Committee contributing to the activities of foreign trade participants on border trade was demonstrated, as well as consultations with representatives of the private sector, were held.
At the same time, the importance of taking joint steps within the framework of reciprocal discussions by representatives of the public and private sectors in order to ensure the operational implementation of the measures reflected in the road map and achieve the goals set was emphasized.
In conclusion, the head of the Commission Secretariat, Vusal Shikhaliyev drew attention to the importance of the measures mentioned in the road map and the necessity of their timely implementation.
