The State Tax Service held an online meeting with legal and consulting companies

On September 29, 2023, the State Tax Service (STS) under the Ministry of Economy held an online meeting with legal and consulting companies on the state registration of commercial legal entities. The representative of STS State Registration Main Department Ms. Lala Ahmadova submitted to the event participants  a presentation on the topic "State registration of commercial legal entities, reforms in this field", and informed on the current situation regarding starting a business in the country, the reforms carried out and the results obtained.

It was reported at the meeting that the "Methodological handbook" for the "Business Ready (B-Ready)" project of the World Bank Group was presented in May, 2023 in Warsaw, Poland. A part of that document covers the "Business entry" indicator, as well. During the past period, STS carried out a simulation of the "Evaluation Sheet" for the "Business entry" indicator. According to the "Methodological handbook", the evaluation of the mentioned indicator within "B-Ready" project will be carried out in 3 directions. These are business entry regulations, digital public services and transparency of information for business start-ups, and efficiency of business entry in practice.

Then, the event participants discussed the questionnaire filled-in on the "Business entry" indicator of the "Business Ready (B-Ready)" report. Mr. Mehdi Babayev, director of the Baku Reporting Center, Mr. Anar Bayramov, director of “Bizcon Audit” LLC, Mr. Mustafa Salmanov, senior associate of “BM Morrison Partners” LLC, and other participants discussed questions and issues that needed to be resolved on the questionnaire, including the uniqueness of the names of commercial legal entities, avoiding duplication of trademarks names of legal entities, the obligations of persons and directors who are considered legal representatives of commercial legal entities when they leave their jobs, etc., and submitted their proposals.

It was noted at the meeting that the Working Group is currently elaborating a number of new projects towards implementation of the Road Map.

Questions of different content of the participants were answered.
