The next meeting of the “Risk Analysis” Working Group of the Commission on Business Environment and International Rankings was held

On October 1, an online meeting of the “Risk Analysis” Working Group of the Commission on Business Environment and International Rankings, led by the Ministry of Internal Affairs, was held within the framework of the 2026 Action Plan.

The meeting, chaired by the Head of the “Risk Analysis” Working Group and Deputy Minister of Internal Affairs, Ismat Aliyev, addressed, in accordance with paragraph 2 of the Working Group’s 2026 Action Plan, issues related to technological risks – including child exploitation, online harassment, and cyberbullying – as well as the significant impact of the widespread and persistent dissemination of false information through mass media networks on the formation of public opinion.

During the meeting, Ismat Aliyev provided detailed information on the extensive and continuous spread of false information classified as technological risks in international rankings, including disinformation and misinformation, through mass media and social media networks, its substantial influence on shaping public opinion, as well as measures to combat the proliferation of such phenomena as child exploitation, online harassment, and cyberbullying within the information environment. It was emphasized that relevant measures are being implemented by state bodies within the framework of the “Strategy for Information Security and Cybersecurity of the Republic of Azerbaijan for 2023–2027.”

At the same time, proposals were put forward during the meeting regarding the prevention and mitigation of disinformation on social media.
